What is it ?

We all know that in multi-channel distribution the major problem is that the stock is distributed across multiple distribution channels, and therefore there is a risk that the same product is sold simultaneously on different channels.

When a product is sold both in a store and on Amazon, and for example there is only one available in stock, we penalize a client which is not acceptable and we also penalize our own store as the marketplace adjusts the seller review based on the percentage of unfulfilled sales.

Also, the phenomenon of out of stock product being sold is frequent, and unfortunately this can be explained by this phenomenon;

An out of stock product is always sold because it is a desired product and therefore it is always the one who claims to have it in stock and does not that sells it; as the other sellers do not have it also, the customer search inevitably leads to your product!

From this assumption, we have developed how to manage a product in the process of being sold.

When importing orders and if you choose “All Orders” option, you will notice some orders with the status “In Cart”;

It operates as follows; an “In Cart” product is a non-finalized order at Amazon (Pending), an order being processed for which payment has not yet been validated.

The module then release this product from your store and the product is reserved for the potential buyer.

Thus, you do not sell it on your store or on other channels based on the frequency of daily feed updates.

The module keeps the product in this reserved status during the entire lifetime of this pending order. If the order is placed; the stock is unchanged, if the order disappears then the product is put back in stock with a 4-hour safety time.

Thus, you minimize the risk of selling a product you do not have in stock, you increase customer satisfaction and your performance as seller.
