Prerequisites
You will have validated the catalog structure you will need to differentiate well between an offer and a product you will have verified that your products are eligibles, you will have read the Amazon categorization.
Catalog > Amazon > Creation
You access to the sending operations of products feed through the tab “Catalogs > Amazon”, “Creation” section.
Creation Mode is optional, you will need to activate it in the module configuration, if you enable it you will need to set profiles. Before starting the creation mode verify that your products do not exist on Amazon: Enter one of your EAN codes in their search engine.
The creation mode is used to create a non-existent product on Amazon, which has not been previously created by Amazon or another merchant. The product will be created on Amazon and referenced through the EAN or UPC code and ASIN. This operation is done only once by product and can be repeated to make updates to product data.
The module will process the queue over the items marked “Creation”. If no product is in the queue you can manually select products.
Profiles
The profiles are used to describe your products to give them common values and thus to match the structure of the products sheets in your Prestashop store to the structure of products sheets on Amazon.
Several categories might be having the same profile. The information contained in the profile will be reflected on Amazon for all the products affected by this one.
Models, Templates (Flat File)
When you do not use the module, you need the “templates”, model of file used to export to Amazon, also known as Flat File. With the module you do not normally need these templates. However, we advise you to download your template because it contains information that will be useful to set up your profile, you will find this information in the “Valid Values” tab.

Example of valid values in the template category Clothes (Clothing):
Classification, Categorization
On Amazon, the products are classified and categorized by departments and categories. Each department contains products, classified by type of product and categorized in a tree structure of categories, these nuances are important.
- Your profile will have a universe and a “Product Type” that are not related to the category.
- Your profile will have a categorization: a recommended browse node which is not linked to the product type either.
This information will be applied to all products concerned by the profile.
“Business” Information
A “Special Fields” section will appear depending on the product selected, it will be data that is specific to your business, specific to the product type chosen. Only fields marked with a red star are required.
For example, for “Clothing” products, “Department” will be prompted, either Man or Woman.
Combinations, Variants
Your combinations will be exported automatically to their equivalent on Amazon variants. For this you must have selected the attributes, usually size and/or color.
Important: Mappings will always have to be filled out before the combinations/variants are exported. The values of mappings are also present in the template file mentioned above.
Sending the feed in creation mode
Before sending your feed, check that:
- Your products are eligibles
- Categories are selected with a chosen profile
- The profile is complete, all required fields must be filled
- The numbers of “recommended browse node” are filled
Go to Catalog > Amazon, Creation sub-tab.
First, note that the number of items you can create simultaneously depends on the configuration limits of your PHP server. Read our note on it “Marketplaces modules and PHP Limits”.
If you do not use the Auto discover wizard:
Products to be created must be marked “Create” on the product sheet in the Amazon sub-tab. This does not mean that if you have 100 products, you must tick 100 times. For this, you use the “propagations” under the “Create” option.
If you use the Auto discover wizard:
The wizard will automatically detect the products to be created on Amazon and select the products sheets to be created on Amazon. You’ll just have to simply send the feed by clicking “Submit” at the end of the process.
After sending, go to the Report tab.
